Ironically, or perhaps unsurprisingly, these are the vanguard that Democrats are now following. These are the core anti-war protesters. The true soldiers of pseudo-peace. Without them the anti-war movement would be hollow and empty. These are the folks who were out on the streets soon after 9/11 to protest the expected American invasion of Afghanistan. Not Iraq mind you, Afghanistan.
Bring the Troops Home! No to Canada’s Participation in U.S. Aggression, Occupation and War!  ~cpcml.ca
The above quote is not just referring to Iraq but Afghanistan as well. These are the elite opinion makers for the left. These are they who created Joe Klein’s list of what left-wing extremists believe.
The failed U.S. state is deathly afraid of the anti-imperialist stand of the peoples worldwide. They are targeting the Islamic forces, in Iraq, Iran and elsewhere, because they refuse to yield to imperialist dictate and are standing for their rights to decide their own affairs. They are also targeting the anti-war movement in the U.S. People together are standing with the Iraqis on the basis of principle — that aggressive war is a crime, that bombing raids and massacres of civilians are crimes, that Iraq belongs to the Iraqis and the U.S. has no business being there, that to safeguard the troops and the world’s peoples, all U.S. troops must come home now. All means All! Now means Now! Americans too are taking their stand against imperialism and its aggressive wars and putting on the agenda the necessity for an anti-war government. ~cpcml.ca
Unfortunately, most bloggers follow these folks avidly. DailyKos, Atrios, MyDD, take your pic, they all reiterate the same rhetoric.
A left-wing extremist exhibits many, but not necessarily all, of the following attributes:
–believes the United States is a fundamentally negative force in the world.
–believes that American imperialism is the primary cause of Islamic radicalism. ~time.com
