Disarming AmeriKKKa

Second amendment? What’s that? Dan Simpson, retired diplomat and journalist, has never heard of such a thing. He’s just imagining a world without violence.

Now, how would one disarm the American population? First of all, federal or state laws would need to make it a crime punishable by a $1,000 fine and one year in prison per weapon to possess a firearm. The population would then be given three months to turn in their guns, without penalty. ~toledoblade.com

Yeah, that’s about how it would need to be done. Except I’m not sure that the author, who is obviously “a crazed liberal zealot,” wanting to take my gun from my cold, dead hands,” has failed to recognize that such an effort would be rightly viewed as the first step to revoking democracy and instituting a totalitarian state.

And why are such drastic measures necessary? Why because guns kill.

LAST week’s tragedy at Virginia Tech in which a mentally disturbed person gunned down 32 of America’s finest – intelligent young people with futures ahead of them – once again puts the phenomenon of an armed society into focus for Americans. ~toledoblade.com

And because guns kill, we need to send armed men out to search every home and building to seize every weapon. Can you say police state?

The disarmament process would begin after the initial three-month amnesty. Special squads of police would be formed and trained to carry out the work. Then, on a random basis to permit no advance warning, city blocks and stretches of suburban and rural areas would be cordoned off and searches carried out in every business, dwelling, and empty building. All firearms would be seized. The owners of weapons found in the searches would be prosecuted: $1,000 and one year in prison for each firearm. ~toledoblade.com

And what about anyone who resists the effort to pry these guns out of law abiding citizens cold dead hands?

Only under Democrats can this possibly be imagined.

Lyrics to the song Imagine, by John Lennon

Imagine there’s no Heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
