Global Warming: 100′s of millions to die

DemocracyNow is a far left radio show that airs primarily on the Pacifica Network, a Berkeley based radical communist/leftist radio network. In order to understand the meaning of the show you need to first understand that they redefine ‘democracy’ (in democracy NOW!) as what Marx called the dictatorship of the proletariat.

Fridays show: George Monbiot: “If We Don’t Deal with Climate Change We Condemn Hundreds of Millions of People to Death”

Is this fear mongering? You tell me. The important fact to realize is that these activists see this issue as their Reichtstag fire, (please see previous post), and that what is lacking is ‘the political will’. I’m scared.

GEORGE MONBIOT: Well, for a start, we have to recognize the extraordinary scale of the challenge we face. In order to prevent runaway climate change — in other words, climate change that we can no longer do anything about — we need a cut in greenhouse gas emissions of roughly 60% worldwide, which means about 90% in the rich nations, by 2030.

And what I’ve done is to look sector-by-sector at all the parts of the economy to see how that cut could best be made without bringing industrial civilization crashing down. And I think that it can be made. It can be made without a major impact on our quality of life. The technology is there already. The economic potential is there already. What is lacking is the political will.  ~democracynow.org

As a general rule, I don’t use pejorative terms in posts and such since it hinders dialogue and stuff like that.

That doesn’t mean I don’t see these terms in blogs and such. Nor does it mean I don’t have some favorites. I do and I do. My personal favorite is ‘Moonbat’.

Is it just me, or is this guy’s name actually pronounced ‘Moonbat’? If not, it has to be pretty close. I’m not judging, you understand – I’m just asking …

  2. I think it’s pronounced Mon-bee-ot. Kind of like bee-yatch. So in relation to Moonbat, I guess the difference is similiar.

    Hee. Hee.

Speaking of which, did you see this one?
