If nothing else former President Jimmy Carter accurately represents the views and beliefs of the left. He gives voice to a group that increasingly dominates the Democratic party and controls it’s agenda. An agenda that portends a very scary future if they ever gain enough power to really push it through– that is, if they finally have politicians in power who do not, “lack the political will,” to push their liberal agenda fully.
Carter brazenly attacked the Bush administration yesterday as the worst administration in history. Strangely, that honor was thought to be held by Carter’s administration mainly for it’s inaction in the face of crisis. It’s almost ironic that he blames Bush for taking actions he deems politically immoral.
The real problem is that the political beliefs of Jimmy Carter are far more leftist and unamerican than even I would have believed just a few years ago. From his endorsement and obvious favor of Cuban and Venezualan dictators and Castro, we can accurately outline the kind of policies and rhetoric that he would deem fitting for a Presidential administration to be the greatest in history.
Carter has an ignoble history of praising and endorsing dictators and mass murderers and yet only Republicans seem to be called evil. Are we to believe that Bush is more of a monster than Castro, Chavez, Kim Jong Ill, Tito, and others?
Carter may have participated in certifying a stolen and rigged election in order to usher in a new era of “21st century socialism” in Venezuela. This, I believe, is the Carter Manifesto.
What are the American ideals that Carter says he endorses and that Bush has strayed from? 21st century socialism? Should we be more or less like all the dictators that Carter appreciates and praises?
