A New Destiny
We have a new destiny! A “glorious burden!” It is, in fact, a destiny of slavery and servitude to the state led by leaders who cannot be criticized or questioned and who can do no wrong.
We face a government intent on remaking us into it’s image and forming us into servants worthy of their ‘higher purpose’.
Now that Obama is the President it’s time for everyone to start working toward his goals. Make no mistake we will all be toiling together as one. It will take a great deal of sacrifice to remake this nation into something good. (Except perhaps the architects themselves. Someone must make the plans after all.)
So today, I am asking you to roll up your sleeves and join in the work of remaking this nation. I pledge to you that government will do its part to open up more opportunities for citizens to participate. And in return, I ask you to play your part – to not just pitch in today, but to make an ongoing commitment that lasts far beyond one day, or even one presidency. ~whitehouse.gov
Until now this nation has been victimizing and oppressive. Now the time of radically transforming this tired and evil nation can begin. So our great leader declares it!
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim January 20, 2009, a National Day of Renewal and Reconciliation, and call upon all of our citizens to serve one another and the common purpose of remaking this Nation for our new century.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twentieth day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand nine, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-third. ~whitehouse.gov
