The beginning of the end of change

Brown wins. What does it mean? It means that the Tea Party tsunami has begun. The end of the attempted socialist transformation of America. My prediction for the 2010 congressional races is defeat, defeat, defeat, for every arrogant liberal incumbent who dares go along with this rape of the republic called Healthcare reform.

Republicans should take note that repudiation of democrat policies doesn’t mean automatic GOP support. The purpose, the job, of politicians is supposed to be the representatives of the people. The voice of the people. Fail in this and it’s good night for the GOP as well.

Scott Brown’s victory in Massachusetts is more than just a defeat for President Obama and the priorities his administration has established during his first year in office. It is an outright rejection of the “identity” politics he and his party have championed for more than a generation.  ~corner.nationalreview.com

One way or another…

king_obama3

Our Leftist President and Congress, at odds with the American people, fully intend to ram ‘Healthcare Reform’ down our throats no matter what– for our own good! “They’ll learn to love it,” they say. Hope and Change indeed. But Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are more likely to feel feedback of another sort from voters if they continue down this road of arrogance and ruin.

Carville poll: Only a third of voters support Barack Obama’s national health-care plan

According to Democracy Corps, likely voters have a sharply negative view of the president’s health-care and economic plans, and a far more favorable view of Republicans than they did a few months ago. Because Democracy Corps was founded by Democrats James Carville and Stanley Greenberg, the firm’s findings have significant influence in national Democratic circles.  ~dailycaller.com

Just another example of how Obama is bringing America together.

In light of this what is the best course of action? When your ideologically driven political agenda is distasteful to most Americans is it wise to disregard the will of the people and double-down? To attempt to ram the legislation through no matter what? Democrats have already hinted that they will try to delay seating Brown if he wins in Massachusetts Tuesday because his election will lose them their 60 seat filibuster safety margin.

Some are hinting that they must cheat in order to win this seat– to save healthcare and to, ‘keep those bastards out [of office].’

A defeat in Massachusetts will not translate into anything resembling thoughtful consideration of the people’s will. Not for Obama and not for Congress.

President Barack Obama plans a combative response if, as White House aides fear, Democrats lose Tuesday’s special Senate election in Massachusetts, close advisers say.

“This is not a moment that causes the president or anybody who works for him to express any doubt,” a senior administration official said. “It more reinforces the conviction to fight hard.” ~dyn.politico.com

And the queen of the House has issued a proclamation as well:

“Let’s remove all doubt, we will have health care — one way or another,” Pelosi said. “Back to the drawing board means a great big zero for the American people.”  ~sfgate.com

The American people don’t want it, but that sure that doesn’t seem to matter to the left.

“…we will have health care — one way or another,” Pelosi said.

Cognitive infiltration?

silencingShould the Federal government be infiltrating and disrupting groups they deem to hold conspiracy theories or who may hold what they deem as non-mainstream views? Not that they pose any physical threat mind you. It seems like implementing such a policy would essentially validate any conspiracy theorists paranoia.

In a 2008 academic paper, President Barack Obama’s appointee to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs advocated “cognitive infiltration” of groups that advocate “conspiracy theories” like the ones surrounding 9/11.

Sunstein argued that “government might undertake (legal) tactics for breaking up the tight cognitive clusters of extremist theories.” He suggested that “government agents (and their allies) might enter chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups and attempt to undermine percolating conspiracy theories by raising doubts about their factual premises, causal logic or implications for political action.” ~rawstory.com

Is this our future under Obama and one-party rule? Government infiltrators meant to discredit and shape public opinion? I’m absolutely positive from the comments already made public by democrats that Tea Party protestors would be prime targets as well.

He says that the reason this must be done is that these ‘conspiracy theorists’ are uninformed. So the government must send in infiltrators to undermine their arguments and create confusion, distrust, and fear. Hmm.

That alone is enough, but this Obama official also suggests some insane speech chilling policies.

Sunstein’s book is a blueprint for online censorship as he wants to hold blogs and web hosting services accountable for the remarks of commenters on websites while altering libel laws to make it easier to sue for spreading “rumors.”

Smith notes that bloggers and others would be forced to remove such criticism unless they could be “proven”. The litigation expense would be daunting; the time necessary to defend a posting (or an article) would work to the benefit of the public figure being criticized since the delay would probably allow the figure to win an election before the truth “won out”. The mere threat of retaliatory actions would be enough to dissuade many commentators from daring to issue a word of criticism or skepticism. ~americanthinker.com

These kinds of regulations coupled with reimplementation of the Fairness Doctrine would effectively cripple the free speech of conservatives. Which is the reason that Democrats are proposing these ideas in the first place.

I think that this is exactly what was meant when Michelle Obama said that Barack would, “never allow us to go back to our lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.”

Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.
~Michelle Obama, Speech at UCLA

Legal terrorism

The Awareness Campaign against Man-Caused Disasters is having a bad week or two.

WASHINGTON (AP) – A federal judge has tossed out most of the government’s evidence against a terrorism detainee on grounds his confessions were coerced, allegedly by U.S. forces, before he became a prisoner at Guantanamo Bay. ~breitbart.com

Good thing we’re not treating this like it’s a war. I’ll bet our soldiers didn’t read him his Miranda rights either.

The good news is that I’m sure that we have an overabundance of lawyers such that we could send a lawyer with every squad fighting around the world in order to ensure that every terrorist captured by US forces gets proper representation from moment one of their capture. Then once we arrest them properly we can send them stateside to bankrupt ourselves with costly trials that may or may not get them probation if we’re lucky and set them free if we’re not.

Security for 9/11 Trials in NYC Will Cost More Than $400M
Cost of Trying 9/11 Terrorists Could Go as High as $600 Million

New York City projects it will cost more than $400 million to provide security if the pre-trial preparation and trial of the suspects in the Sept. 11 terror attacks takes two years, which insiders say is virtually certain, according to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

It will cost another $206 million annually if the trial runs beyond two years, which some fear is possible, the mayor’s office estimates.  ~abcnews.go.com

The Christmas underwear bomber pleads innocent. Not guilty plea entered for Nigerian bomb suspect

On the bright side we are doing everything possible to protect his and every other radical islamic terrorist’s legal rights as US citizens!

Except that Obama has basically said that no matter what the outcome of KSM’s trial that he will never be let free. This kind of negates the whole rule of law thing.

These are some of the reasons why we should not treat these men who attempt to attack us as common criminals.

Chasing unicorns, reaping ruin

“One year ago, Americans all across this country went to the polls and cast ballots for the future they wanted to see,” Obama said. A future of higher taxes, more government control, and far less personal freedom? I don’t think so.

Maybe I’m naive, but does campaigning for tax cuts equate to creating a mandate for soviet style ‘reinvention’ of the economy? No, I don’t think it does.

Vague promises of, “change,” promises of tax cuts, fiscal responsibility, and transparency were carefully calculated to deceive as many voters as possible. It worked to get Obama elected but like all lies meant to make a sale the mark eventually learns the truth once they try to take possession of the goods. What we have purchased in this President and his Congress is not a centrist government but a far far left one.

Just words

Obama’s explicit promises to have an open and transparent debate about his healthcare takeover were just words. Or lies, if you prefer.

Obama Reneges on Health Care Transparency

Count ‘Em… Obama Lied 8 Times about Televising Healthcare Debate

When a CNN commentator like Jack Kafferty calls Obama a liar…  you know damn well the jig is up.

What a far cry from the election, when then-candidate Obama pledged to- quote, ‘broadcast health care negotiations on C-SPAN, so that the American people can see what the choices are,’ unquote. President Obama hasn’t even made a token effort to keep his campaign promises of more openness and transparency in government. It was all just another lie that was told in order to get elected. ~breitbart.tv

One of Obama’s central campaign promises was tax cuts for 95% of Americans. But instead he sees his mandate as higher taxes, record deficit spending, and blaming Bush for the results of these policies as they destroy our economy. A progressive socialist-style depression is what will follow his policies.

There is no mandate for nationalizing healthcare. Which is why Pelosi, Reid, and Obama want this bill rammed through as quickly as possible in order to avoid scrutiny. No debate. No citizen participation, (that’s not how ruling works).

Obama tried to make it appear that his platform was lower taxes. His campaign of vague promises of ‘change’ was carefully calculated to deceive as many voters as possible. America didn’t vote to fundamentally transform America into a leftist country. They thought they were voting for a return to fiscal responsibility. They thought they were voting for a centrist democrat.

What we seem to have gotten is an administration willing to resemble a classic cult of personality. Public school children are made to sing songs extolling our great leader and all the wonderful things he will do for his people. Obama accepts undeserved accolades as if they were his due and expects his lapdog press to parrot his party line. These are the tactics of dictatorships, marxists, and totalitarian regimes.

From wikipedia:

Generally, personality cults are most common in regimes with totalitarian systems of government, that seek to radically alter or transform society according to (supposedly) revolutionary new ideas. Often, a single leader becomes associated with this revolutionary transformation, and comes to be treated as a benevolent “guide” for the nation, without whom the transformation to a better future cannot occur. This has been generally the justification for personality cults that arose in totalitarian societies of the 20th century, such as those of Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. ~wikipedia

Awareness Campaign

hamas_white_hoods_KKK

The ‘War on Terror,’ under Bush, is now the ‘Awareness Campaign against Man-Caused Disasters’ under Obama. The A.C.M.D., (‘Achmed’) is the quintessential liberal strategy for eradicating Islamic terror… semantically rather than in reality. Obama is all about the easy fix and reaping reward for words not work.

Obama: Our Protection

We are no longer ‘at war.’ War is just another word for the politics of fear. Obama is our protection now. Didn’t he just  receive a Nobel Peace Prize for bringing about world peace a few months ago? His mere existence as President has changed world opinion and  assuaged the anger of radical Islamic Terrorists against the United States. Obama is the transformational President who understands that they hate us because we elected Bush. They hate America because, until now, America has been a hateful and evil country. We deserve terrorist attacks and if we were to ‘go to war’ with radical muslims by profiling them on airplanes that would just make them madder and justify further attacks on us.

As Obama’s pastor pointed out 9/11 was merely, “America’s chickens coming home to roost:”

In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda’s attacks because of its own terrorism.

“We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye,” Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.

“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost,” he told his congregation.  ~abcnews.go.com

This is the foundation of Obama’s foreign policy. Obama’s America has no role in defending the defenseless or opposing dictatorships in the world: “No despot fears the president, and no demonstrator in Tehran expects him to ride to the rescue.”

The system worked

The attempted destruction of Flight 253 proves that the Obama policy is working flawlessly. No muslim’s feelings were hurt by crass American profiling until the last moment when unthinking rascist passengers tackled a defenseless radical muslim attempting to ignite a harmless explosive.

The TSA subsequently sprung into action. Swiftly swooping down on the nefarious perpetrators: TSA subpoenas bloggers, demands names of sources. Bureaucratic justice strikes! The system does work people. Criticising or revealing internal memos will not be tolerated!

On the precipice of disaster

Obama is right, we are on the precipice: of a disaster; of an achievement of premeditated destruction.

“…it’s clear we are on the precipice of achievement that’s eluded Congresses, presidents for generations — an achievement that will touch the lives of nearly every American,” Obama said. ~foxnews.com

The fact that it will touch the lives of every American is undisputed. The manner of that touch is what every American has the right to question.

Like Lennie’s loving yet lethal embrace in Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, the government tends to strangle and smother what it means to protect and cherish. The Federal government is a blunt and wholesale tool.

The uninsured: soon to be felons

The Democrats National Healthcare plan, aka Obamacare, demands that you be covered by health insurance. If you are not covered you are required to buy it or face fines and penalties. The IRS may be the agency enforcing this mandate. How soon after American citizens are considered felons for not purchasing health insurance will Obama be impeached?

Why would Democrats do this to Americans? What happened to the nurturing parent?

More important, an individual mandate crosses an important line: accepting the principle that it is the government’s responsibility to ensure that every American has health insurance. In doing so, it opens the door to widespread regulation of the health care industry and political interference in personal health care decisions. The result will be a slow but steady spiral downward toward a government-run national health care system. ~cato.org

‘DMV efficiency with IRS compassion’

Until the Federal government, including the IRS, swears to the hippocratic oath perhaps they should stay out of the Health Care business. Using the iron fist of the IRS (for our own good, of course) is monstrous.

The Senate bill imposes a new requirement that all persons who provide health care coverage to others must file a return with the IRS listing the names, addresses, social security numbers, and the coverage period for each person, and “such other information as the Secretary [of Health and Human Services] may prescribe.” (Section 161(b) starting at page 107). The bill does not limit what information the Secretary may request, so it is conceivable and likely that information as to the nature of the coverage, the family members included, and other details will be reported to the IRS.

….This information is to be provided to the IRS for good reason. The House bill provides for a tax on people who do not have acceptable coverage at “any time” during the tax year. House bill section 401 provides for a new section 59B (at pp. 167-168) of the Internal Revenue Code:

(a) TAX IMPOSED.—In the case of any individual who does not meet the requirements of subsection (d) at any time during the taxable year, there is hereby imposed a tax equal to 2.5 percent of the excess of—
(1) the taxpayer’s modified adjusted gross income for the taxable year, over
(2) the amount of gross income specified in section 6012(a)(1) with respect to the taxpayer. ~legalinsurrection.blogspot.com

Cost of congressional caring

They do care, don’t they? Yes, they care. In the trillions! All this spending will, of course, reduce costs. Really?

The proposals now before Congress would require just about everyone to buy health insurance or to get it through their employers — which would generally result in lower wages. In other words, millions of people would be compelled to spend lots of money on something they previously did not want, at least not at prevailing prices.

Estimates of this burden vary, but for a family of four it could range up to $14,000 a year over the next decade, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Right now, many Americans take the gamble of going without insurance, just as many of us take our chances with how much we drive or how little we exercise.

The paradox is this: Reform advocates start with anecdotes about the underprivileged who are uninsured, then turn around and propose something that would hurt at least some members of that group. ~nytimes.com

Health Insurance Mandate Includes ‘Tax’ Despite Obama Denial

Dem’s Nationalized Health Care Plan Still Requires a Monthly Abortion Fee

Video: Baucus Admits Obamacare Costs $2.5 Trillion

How much ObamaCare costs the average family

ObamaCare’s Cost Could Top $6 Trillion

The point is that the cost of everything the government mandates is always, yes always, much more than originally estimated. The cost to individuals and families will be far more than anyone now thinks or believes it could be. (With the possible exception of myself who thinks that it will utterly bankrupt the country.)

Slow but Steady Spiral Downward

As the government asserts control over healthcare choices its entanglement will engender more entanglement. The real danger here is the politicization of health. When Health care decisions become acts of congress we are all in real trouble. Why would we want to make individual health decisions collectively? Why would we want to take a decision that should be based on science and your individual health and turn it into a decision that must be made in a political arena based on political criteria and all the vageries of ideology, bad logic, campaign contributions and payoffs?

I predict that this bill will destroy the Democrat party and repealing this abomination will be the central platform of the next majority party.

Rejoice comrades!

Wow. Stunning. The only people who you would think would consider Fidel Castro a, “world hero,” in any sense would be communists themselves. Communists who would look forward to putting the whole world under the same kind of rule that Cuba has endured under the reign of Castro… Oh, wait it’s the UN!

The UN has declared Fidel Castro, the longtime Communist dictator of Cuba, the “World Hero of Solidarity.” Castro killed thousands and thousands of people during his rule, torturing some to death (including a few American citizens), and Cuba remains an oppressive dictatorship even today. ~examiner.com

So rejoice comrades, surely these same people will declare Obama a world hero as well in the coming years (if they haven’t already).

Is it surprising that the president of the United Nations General Assembly is handing out “world hero” awards to all the prominent leftist/communists of the world? Cause I’m not surprised. The UN is essentially a tool of leftists who work toward the future day when we will all live under regimes practicing the same sort of, “social justice,” and equal distribution of wealth.

“What we want to do is present these three people to the world and say that they embody virtues and values worth emulation by all of us,” said D’Escoto, who like the socialist Morales is a staunch critic of U.S. foreign policy in Latin America. ~examiner.com

…”I remain indebted – I think all humanity remains indebted – to Fidel Castro, who has dedicated his life to the tireless practice and promotion of SOLIDARITY with  oppressed people throughout the world. More than a hero, Fidel is as close to a saint as we can find in our troubled world.” ~un.org
