Hegemon doomed?

Ahmadinejad has the progressive dogma down pat…

LONDON, May 7 (IranMania) – Iran slams capitalism as a means of plundering the wealth of other nations, saying the world hegemonic system will soon be destroyed, PressTV reported.Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with exemplary academics on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, which marks the martyrdom of acclaimed Iranian scholar and university lecturer Ayatollah Morteza Motahhari.

“Western-oriented democracy and the system of establishing security worldwide through the UN Security Council have failed to resolve global crises,” Ahmadinejad said.

The current system in the world has been planned by hegemonic powers and will soon be destroyed, he continued. ~iranmania.com

All those lessons in Venezuela with Hefe Hugo have not been in vain.

Leftist Dishonesty

I love these stories because it shows just how dishonest the left has become in their ‘filtering’ in order to maintain their worldview. On the other hand, it is always dangerous for folks to be completely unhinged from reality, so in that sense this is a tragedy of unknown future potential. Who knows what this kind of liberal self-delusion will produce eventually? I picked up this post via LGF by the way.

The research of Dr. Hervey Cleckley and Dr. Robert Hare exploring the personality and character traits of psychopaths, when applied to George Bush, shows that he fits exactly the profile they developed for a classic psychopath. It’s uncanny.

The study also showed that “Republicanism” as political and social ideology… is even worse than psychopathy.  ~dailykos.com

This is just the kind of rationalization that could one day lead to ‘reeducation camps’ for conservatives, and great purges ala Stalin. Hey, they’re fine with communism and we know where that has led over and over in this last century.

Hugo News

Yes friends, it’s time for Hugo news! Yet another American liberal has made pilgrimage to the socialist miracle in Venezuela. Messiah Hugo Chavez is a busy guy what with receiving the constant flow of American left.

Bill Richardson Helps Prop Up Hugo Chavez

Will no Democrat ever pass up a chance to ingratiate themselves with a communist dictator and undermine our foreign policies?

But maybe Mr. Richardson is just trying to duplicate his wild success with getting the North Koreans to disarm.

Also, Fausta’s blog has the latest translation of Hugo’s socialist rants:

“This [Venezuela's] percentage is one of the highest in the continent for health spending. Do you know where the government spends almost nothing on health? In the United States. It’s all pure capitalism, compadre. Nothing on health and nothing on social security.

See how much poverty and misery have increased in the US in the last few years. ~faustasblog.com

Obama, gun control

TalkLeft: “Obama would probably find DC gun ban constitutional”

At Wednesday’s debate, Barack Obama wouldn’t say what his position is on the DC law banning handguns. He dodged, saying he wasn’t familiar with the facts of the case.

Of course, in November, his campaign told the Chicago Tribune he supporteed the ban. (Chicago Tribune November 20, 2007.) ~talkleft.com

Also linked to post is this AP story about Obama’s history of gun control efforts:

Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has worked to assure uneasy gun owners that he believes the Constitution protects their rights and that he doesn’t want to take away their guns.

But before he became a national political figure, he sat on the board of a Chicago-based foundation that doled out at least nine grants totaling nearly $2.7 million to groups that advocated the opposite positions.

The foundation funded legal scholarship advancing the theory that the Second Amendment does not protect individual gun owners’ rights, as well as two groups that advocated handgun bans. And it paid to support a book called “Every Handgun Is Aimed at You: The Case for Banning Handguns.” ~news.yahoo.com

Obama terror connection

The weather underground? Karl Rove says thanks!

Barack Obama seemed puzzled. Angrily puzzled. The apostle of hope seemed flummoxed by the audacity of the question. At the April 16 Philadelphia debate, George Stephanopoulos, longtime aide to Democratic politicians, was asking about his longtime association with Weather Underground bomber William Ayers.

The Weather Underground attacked the Pentagon, the Capitol and other public buildings; Ayers was quoted in The New York Times on Sept. 11, 2001, as saying, “I don’t regret setting bombs; I feel we didn’t do enough.”

It was at Ayers’ house that Obama’s state Senate candidacy was launched in 1995; Obama continued to serve on a nonprofit board with Ayers after the Times article appeared.  ~realclearpolitics.com

As Michelle Malkin points out this connection is more than just a happenstance. Ayers is a close political connection in Chicago.

Obama and False Consciousness

It shouldn’t be surprising that Obama and his wife verbalize bizarre views (to ordinary Americans). These views are rooted in their ideology, which should be familiar to any student of politics. Obama’s recent comments in Pennsylvania about the backward people of small towns is easily explained by the Marxist term false consciousness.

You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.

And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations. ~politico.com

False consciousness is the Marxist attempt to explain why middle class ‘proletariats’ don’t automatically take up arms against their capitalists oppressors as formulated by marxist theory that they should. It’s rather embarrassing to the whole cult brainwashing process of marxists to have to explain why the perfect kindling for their revolution actually oppose and resist their ideology. False consciousness is their effort to persuade themselves that it can’t be because marxism might be repelent to average Americans. No, these poor deluded souls have been tricked, hoodwinked, and otherwise bamboozled into acting against their own interests. They are, in fact, too stupid, or too weak to understand that they should be marxists.

False consciousness is the Marxist thesis that material and institutional processes in capitalist society are misleading to the proletariat, and to other classes. These processes betray the true relations of forces between those classes, and the real state of affairs regarding the development of pre-socialist society (relative to the secular development of human society in general).

This is essentially a result of ideological control which the proletariat either do not know they are under or disregard with a view to their own POUM (probability/possibility of upward mobility)[1]. POUM (not to be confused with POUM) or something like it is required in economics with its presumption of rational agency; otherwise wage laborers would be the conscious supporters of social relations antithetical to their own interests, violating that presumption. ~wikipedia.org

This is essentially what Obama is expressing here. The poor people of small town Pensylvania just don’t know what’s good for them. They have chosen to grasp at the false consciousness fed to them by their evil republican/conservative rascist capitalist oppressors.

What’s the matter with Kansas?

It’s the great depression!

This post at the corner says it all.

Comparing Labor Market Data in 1996 and 2008

Democrats on the Economy in 1996:

“Our economy is the healthiest it has been in three decades.” (President Bill Clinton, State of the Union Address, January 23, 1996)

Democrats on the Economy in 2008:

“The bottom line is that this administration is the owner of the worst jobs record since Herbert Hoover.” (Senator Charles Schumer, Press Release, March 7, 2008)

Then compare the stats included in the post.

Actually the references to the great depression are ubiquitious. It must be an election year and the liberal MSM really want to win.

GEORGE Soros, billionaire, philanthropist and hedge fund legend, has characterised today’s situation in global markets as the most severe since the Great Depression. ~theaustralian.news.com.au

The New York Times says that the boom before the bust was actually a bust too. Imagine that, the good times were bad times and the bad times are now the worst ever:

As part of a poll that will be released Wednesday, the Pew Research Center asked people how they had done over the last five years. During that time, remember, the overall economy grew every year, often at a good pace.

Yet most respondents said they had either been stuck in place or fallen backward. Pew says this is the most downbeat short-term assessment of personal progress in almost a half century of polling.

So there!

The Independent is actually labeling this the Great Depression of 2008!

The Great Depression: The sequel

Is it coming to a soup kitchen near you? Here’s how we’ll know if the current recession is turning into something much worse. ~salon.com

Yes, it must be time to elect a Democrat who can take us into the new FDR years of New Deal socialist utopia.

Of course the left wants everyone to believe that we’re headed for another great depression so that they can bring socialism in the US to full fruition.

Neal Cavuto at least can set our perspectives aright.

Jimmy Carter: agent of evil

It really gets tiresome to listen to the appeasers and terror apologists rant about Bush while gushing over every two-bit dictator and terrorist. Jimmy Carter, the anti-president, is the poster-boy of liberal evil appeasement:

Former President Jimmy Carter is reportedly preparing an unprecedented meeting with the leader of Hamas, an organization that the U.S. government considers one of the leading terrorist threats in the world.  ~foxnews.com

It’s obvious that Carter sees good where there is evil and evil where there is good. Can there be any better definition of bad judgment?
