Sullivan needs to come out of the closet

It’s laughable that Andrew Sullivan would claim some kind of ‘conservative’ credentials– he’s gay afterall!

The real truth is that many on the Republican right just read everything I write through an anti-gay prism, because their homophobia – benign or not-so-benign, conscious or unconscious – is so overwhelming it occludes any genuine assessment of a person’s thoughts outside this fact.  ~andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com

Do I give a f*ck if Andrew Sullivan is gay? (The answer is no for those who are unable to read my meaning.) Andrew Sullivan is not a conservative because he’s taken every liberal position on every issue of the last few years. He’s a liberal because he cheers when liberals win and boos when conservatives win. He maligns conservatives and then says that he supports some token issue (in principle but not in practice) that might be construed as conservative under some strained definition. This is why Sullivan is a liberal.

Andrew Sullivan is a closet liberal who has been outed. It’s no use denying it, honey, we all know what you are.

Besides isn’t conservatism degenerate? For a man who claims to be conservative, he doesn’t like conservatism very much does he?

It’s like crowning a king

How much does it cost to repeat the oath of office?

The country is in the middle of the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, which isn’t stopping rich donors and the government from spending $170 million, or more, on the inauguration of Barack Obama. ~abcnews.go.com

Mentioning the Great Depression is a great touch, I thought. But $170 million dollars?!?! “…or more!”

This is why I say we are off to a poor start. One which will continue to make us all poorer in the years to come. This is the first indication that Obama will be the worst President ever.

A New Destiny

We have a new destiny! A “glorious burden!” It is, in fact, a destiny of slavery and servitude to the state led by leaders who cannot be criticized or questioned and who can do no wrong.

We face a government intent on remaking us into it’s image and forming us into servants worthy of their ‘higher purpose’.

Now that Obama is the President it’s time for everyone to start working toward his goals. Make no mistake we will all be toiling together as one. It will take a great deal of sacrifice to remake this nation into something good. (Except perhaps the architects themselves. Someone must make the plans after all.)

So today, I am asking you to roll up your sleeves and join in the work of remaking this nation. I pledge to you that government will do its part to open up more opportunities for citizens to participate. And in return, I ask you to play your part – to not just pitch in today, but to make an ongoing commitment that lasts far beyond one day, or even one presidency.  ~whitehouse.gov

Until now this nation has been victimizing and oppressive. Now the time of radically transforming this tired and evil nation can begin. So our great leader declares it!

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim January 20, 2009, a National Day of Renewal and Reconciliation, and call upon all of our citizens to serve one another and the common purpose of remaking this Nation for our new century.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twentieth day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand nine, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-third.  ~whitehouse.gov

Obama sucks

Day one. No change. Oh wait… yes, here’s something different: Obama wants to be friends with the American-hating muslim terrorists!

Obama pledges new start with Muslims

…”To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect,” said Obama, who became the first black president of the United States.

Obama, a practicing Christian, spent several years of his childhood in Indonesia, the most populous Muslim nation. His American mother, Ann Dunham, married Muslim Indonesian Lolo Soetoro after the end of her marriage to Obama’s Kenyan father.

“To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist,” Obama said.

Is  this change? Let’s all sing Kum-by-ya.

Under President George W. Bush, U.S. relations with Muslim nations have often been fractious, particularly after the September 11 attacks.

Get that? Bush angered Muslims AFTER the September 11 attacks! What the f*ck are these journalists smoking in their crack pipes?!

Many Muslims were angered by the U.S.-led wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the opening of a prison for foreign terrorism suspects at the U.S. military base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, widely seen as a symbol of human rights abuses of mostly Muslim prisoners carried out in the name of the “war on terrorism.” ~news.yahoo.com

Yes, and now they will love us again because there is a Democrat in office.

Yes, I am sick of the condescending tone and slapstick bias of the liberal media who are no longer making any pretense at objectivity.

No less than CAIR has weighed in on this seachange of appeasement. They heartily approve.

The Council on American Islamic Relations welcomed Obama’s promise on seeking better relations with Muslim nations.

“We hope this encouraging statement, coupled with a change in America’s previous policies toward the Muslim world, will help improve our nation’s image and promote a safe and prosperous future for all of humanity,” said Nihad Awad, executive director of the council.

Govt internet filtering

Another great liberal idea. Remember, liberals love big government, and ultimately recognize no limit to how much it can ‘protect you’. Germany’s liberal government has plans to ‘protect the children’:

Germany’s Minister for Families has announced a legislative initiative to force ISPs to implement a government-mandated block list (in English), which will be updated daily. The BKA (Germany’s equivalent of the FBI) will be in charge of generating and maintaining the list.  ~slashdot.org

This is maybe because of Germany’s rampant pedophilia?

Concerns that such a system could also be an instrument of censorship for other themes and topics are wanted von der Leyen not accept: “We must not dilute the issue.” Kinderpornografie sei als Thema und Problem “klar abgrenzbar”. Child pornography is a problem issue and “clearly identifiable.” Sie könne jedoch nicht ausschließen, was “künftige Bundesregierungen” für “Wünsche und Pläne entwickeln”. You can not exclude what future federal governments “for” needs and develop plans. “  ~spiegel.de

The G word

Athiests are demanding that all mentions of the diety be struck from the public ceremony of Obama’s inauguration. How could they possibly have an inauguration without using Obama’s name at some point?

WASHINGTON – President-elect Barack Obama wants to conclude his inaugural oath with the words “so help me God,” but a group of atheists is asking a federal judge to stop him.

California atheist Michael Newdow sued Chief Justice John Roberts in federal court for an injunction barring the use of those words in the inaugural oath.  ~news.yahoo.com

It’s funny how the separation of Church and State appears to mean that God is an outlaw and to be banned from every area of life.

Unlimited re-election

It’s a foregone conclusion:

Venezuela’s national assembly has approved a constitutional amendment to remove limits on how many times President Hugo Chavez can serve.

The amendment, which applies to all elected officials, must be approved by a referendum within 30 days, a vote correspondents say is set to be close.

Mr Chavez urged a change in the law in his annual address on Tuesday.

He said it would be dangerous to remove a captain from his ship halfway through the voyage. ~news.bbc.co.uk

Are there ever limits on the glorious revolution? Or the fearless leader? Never.

Ecosocialism

Troll the Marxist websites and you’ll begin to see the true face of what the Climate Crisis is really all about. Anti-capitalism.

Climate change is much more than one ecological problem among others: it is the chemically pure expression of the fact that the irrepressible capitalist logic of accumulation is leading humanity to destroy the environment in which civilizations have developed for six thousand years.

The only way to ward off the danger is by radically reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and therefore similarly reducing flows of energy and matter. Time is short. The enormity of the challenge, the vertiginous scale of the policies that need to be implemented, the urgency of their implementation and the coincidence with the most serious economic crisis since 1929 are suddenly giving a very concrete meaning to the ecosocialist perspective, a meaning which is both anti-capitalist and anti-productivist~internationalviewpoint.org

The only difference here is the source and honesty of the author. Other voices insist on insisting that averting climate disaster is not about instituting socialism. They lie.
