Commie-lib thugs

I’m sometimes still amazed at the brutal and brazen nature of today’s American left. I am beginning to think that a nasty and brutal socialist dictatorship is not out of the question in a few years here in the United States. Indeed they get more violent and more radical every year it seems. Via Right Wing news

Elaborate plans are underway to encircle and “shut down” the Republican National Convention at St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center in September. The strategies and tactics involved could come straight from a guerrilla warfare manual.

Anarchist groups with ominous names — the RNC Welcoming Committee, Unconventional Action — have announced a “three-tier strategy” to cut off the Xcel Center. The steps include “blockading” streets and freeways, “immobilizing” delegates’ transportation and “blocking” bridges to impede delegates’ access to the center.

The plan also features a “swarm, seize, stay” strategy. After dividing the city into “sectors,” protesters propose to “seize space” through both “hard technical blockades” and “softer, more mobile blockades” such as congestion, according to anarchist websites.

Some demonstrators may chain themselves together in public thoroughfares, while others operate in “waves” designed to “spread out police both geographically and tactically.”  ~startribune.com

Problems facing our socialism

The fact that Obama’s father was a socialist should remind us that socialism has rendered Africa a continent completely destitute and that as an example of what an ideology can do socialism is a danger to be avoided at all costs.

What, if any, of the ideals of the father does the son aspire to? Perhaps Dreams from my father would illuminate that question.

Well, Barak Obama has said explicitly that, “The Time Has Come for Universal Health Care” And specifically he’s said that, “Plans that tinker and halfway measures now belong to yesterday.” This certainly sounds like socialism to me.

Obama says that the government can modernize healthcare and make it cost less and in the process give you more quality care– what planet is he living on? Government has never been a vehicle for modernization or cost savings. Just look at the Senate restaurants and how efficiently they were run. All one needs to do is go to the DMV or any government office nationwide to see what kind of efficient service you receive from government.

Hegemon doomed?

Ahmadinejad has the progressive dogma down pat…

LONDON, May 7 (IranMania) – Iran slams capitalism as a means of plundering the wealth of other nations, saying the world hegemonic system will soon be destroyed, PressTV reported.Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with exemplary academics on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, which marks the martyrdom of acclaimed Iranian scholar and university lecturer Ayatollah Morteza Motahhari.

“Western-oriented democracy and the system of establishing security worldwide through the UN Security Council have failed to resolve global crises,” Ahmadinejad said.

The current system in the world has been planned by hegemonic powers and will soon be destroyed, he continued. ~iranmania.com

All those lessons in Venezuela with Hefe Hugo have not been in vain.

Leftist Dishonesty

I love these stories because it shows just how dishonest the left has become in their ‘filtering’ in order to maintain their worldview. On the other hand, it is always dangerous for folks to be completely unhinged from reality, so in that sense this is a tragedy of unknown future potential. Who knows what this kind of liberal self-delusion will produce eventually? I picked up this post via LGF by the way.

The research of Dr. Hervey Cleckley and Dr. Robert Hare exploring the personality and character traits of psychopaths, when applied to George Bush, shows that he fits exactly the profile they developed for a classic psychopath. It’s uncanny.

The study also showed that “Republicanism” as political and social ideology… is even worse than psychopathy.  ~dailykos.com

This is just the kind of rationalization that could one day lead to ‘reeducation camps’ for conservatives, and great purges ala Stalin. Hey, they’re fine with communism and we know where that has led over and over in this last century.

Distorting public discourse

This is rich. It’s as if Al Gore doesn’t realize that he is describing his exact method of fearmongering.

Our systematic exposure to fear and other arousal stimuli on television can be exploited by the clever public relations specialist, advertiser, or politician. Barry Glassner, a professor of sociology at the University of Southern California, argues that there are three techniques that together make up “fearmongering”: repetition, making the irregular seem regular, and misdirection. By using these narrative tools, anyone with a loud platform can ratchet up public anxieties and fears, distorting public discourse and reason. ~npr.org

Seems like Gore is admitting that he knows he is “distorting public discourse and reason.”

Al Gore Calls Myanmar Cyclone a ‘Consequence’ of Global Warming

Using tragedy to advance an agenda has been a strategy for many global warming activists, and it was just a matter of time before someone found a way to tie the recent Myanmar cyclone to global warming.

Former Vice President Al Gore in an interview on NPR’s May 6 “Fresh Air” broadcast did just that. He was interviewed by “Fresh Air” host Terry Gross about the release of his book, “The Assault on Reason,” in paperback.

“And as we’re talking today, Terry, the death count in Myanmar from the cyclone that hit there yesterday has been rising from 15,000 to way on up there to much higher numbers now being speculated,” Gore said. “And last year a catastrophic storm from last fall hit Bangladesh. The year before, the strongest cyclone in more than 50 years hit China – and we’re seeing consequences that scientists have long predicted might be associated with continued global warming.”

Incredible.

Hugo News

Yes friends, it’s time for Hugo news! Yet another American liberal has made pilgrimage to the socialist miracle in Venezuela. Messiah Hugo Chavez is a busy guy what with receiving the constant flow of American left.

Bill Richardson Helps Prop Up Hugo Chavez

Will no Democrat ever pass up a chance to ingratiate themselves with a communist dictator and undermine our foreign policies?

But maybe Mr. Richardson is just trying to duplicate his wild success with getting the North Koreans to disarm.

Also, Fausta’s blog has the latest translation of Hugo’s socialist rants:

“This [Venezuela's] percentage is one of the highest in the continent for health spending. Do you know where the government spends almost nothing on health? In the United States. It’s all pure capitalism, compadre. Nothing on health and nothing on social security.

See how much poverty and misery have increased in the US in the last few years. ~faustasblog.com

Obama terror connection

The weather underground? Karl Rove says thanks!

Barack Obama seemed puzzled. Angrily puzzled. The apostle of hope seemed flummoxed by the audacity of the question. At the April 16 Philadelphia debate, George Stephanopoulos, longtime aide to Democratic politicians, was asking about his longtime association with Weather Underground bomber William Ayers.

The Weather Underground attacked the Pentagon, the Capitol and other public buildings; Ayers was quoted in The New York Times on Sept. 11, 2001, as saying, “I don’t regret setting bombs; I feel we didn’t do enough.”

It was at Ayers’ house that Obama’s state Senate candidacy was launched in 1995; Obama continued to serve on a nonprofit board with Ayers after the Times article appeared.  ~realclearpolitics.com

As Michelle Malkin points out this connection is more than just a happenstance. Ayers is a close political connection in Chicago.

Blame the greedy

McCain says that the greedy are to blame. What’s wrong with this guy? Are there three democrats (marxist socialists) running in this race?

Sen. John McCain this morning said “greedy” Wall Street investors are partly to blame for what he said is probably an economic recession the nation is now suffering.

“There has to be a modification of the greedy behavior of some of these people,” he said, using the word “greedy” repeatedly in remarks to the Associated Press annual meeting at the Washington Convention Center today. ~washingtontimes.com

How different is this from Hillary’s jaw dropper, “We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.” or Michelle Obama saying that government needs to take from some so others can have more:

“If we don’t wake up as a nation with a new kind of leadership…for how we want this country to work, then we won’t get universal health care,” she said.

“The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.” ~conservablogs.com
