The Iranian hostage crisis

First of all there would be no British ‘hostages’ if the Royal Navy had done it’s job and blown the Iranian ‘navy’ (I’m using the term loosely here) out of the water in the first place. That said, let me explain the preferred hegemonic method of dealing with the Iranian hostage crisis as it exists right now.

First, demand their immediate and unconditional release. Or else. Don’t explain. Don’t meander like John Kerry on bad meds, just get on international tv and say that this violation of international law will be punished if not corrected immediately. Continue reading The Iranian hostage crisis

I am John Doe

They made sure they were noticed. All the signs were there and now, incredibly, after scaring the passengers out of their wits by saying prayers in Arabic and cursing America, asking for seat belt extensions (needed only for extremely overweight passengers) and possibly as weapons, and sitting scattered throughout the plane (just like on 9/11), the Minneapolis six (imams) are suing passengers for ‘profiling’.

Good luck with that guys. Continue reading I am John Doe

Terrorist ‘tortured by US’?

My first impression of this headline was, “Good.”

“Terror suspect ‘tortured by US’”

My second impression is that this headline should read, “Terror suspect claims to have been tortured by US.” Just because he claims he was tortured doesn’t prove that he was actually ‘tortured’. But of course we need to know what the definition of torture is here. Was he really tortured or was he just made uncomfortable? (Or has he just been ‘tortured’ by his conscience?)

The definition of torture has been defined down in recent history by those with a political axe to grind. Continue reading Terrorist ‘tortured by US’?

Dems Impeachment Party

It has to happen. It’s inevitable. How long can they possibly restrain themselves? The impeachment option is being played up from more corners.

This AP story leads with it’s normal editorial paragraph:

WASHINGTON – With his go-it-alone approach on Iraq, President Bush is flouting Congress and the public, so angering lawmakers that some consider impeachment an option over his war policy, a senator from Bush’s own party said Sunday.   ~news.yahoo.com

Not worth the personal effort

Gore testified to congress, “imploring,” them to save the planet! Saying that the planet, “has a fever,” –still he doesn’t feel that it’s worth the personal effort to, “save the baby,” as he puts it.

I want to testify today about what I believe is a planetary emergency—a crisis that threatens the survival of our civilization and the habitability of the Earth. ~epw.senate.gov

Threatens our very survival?! Continue reading Not worth the personal effort

Surrender to child killers?

There is only one reason for Democrats to continue demanding our surrender in Iraq– to defeat Bush. Seriously. This is the entire political gambit that Democrats have hung their futures on. Military defeat in Iraq equals political victory for Democrats. Too bad that it would mean death and chaos for Iraqis and the Middle east, but I don’t expect Democrats to care much about anything but grasping for power.

These are the folks that Democrats insist we surrender to:

“We saw a vehicle with two children in the back seat come up to one of our checkpoints, get stopped by our folks, the children in the back seat lowered suspicion, we let it move through,” he said. “They parked the vehicle, the adults ran out and detonated with the children in the back.” ~voanews.com

These must be the freedom fighters that Michael Moore praises and John Murtha opines has “broken” the back of our Army? Please. There is no excuse for the treason that Democrats have clearly chosen as political strategy. Continue reading Surrender to child killers?

Bring it on

Finally! I’ve been waiting for this Bush to show up. Democrats need a good smack down from the Texan dictator.

A defiant President Bush warned Democrats Tuesday to accept his offer to have top aides testify about the firings of federal prosecutors only privately and not under oath or risk a constitutional showdown from which he would not back down.  ~news.yahoo.com

My political advice would have been to come out swinging this way from the start. But there you have it. Bush and the Republicans are always caught off guard by the Democrats political underhandedness and dirty tricks. Continue reading Bring it on

Iraq war aftermath

The political aftermath of the Iraq war seems certain. We hear a unified voice from Democrats and the Main Stream Media. We have been told from day one what the outcome would be. Indeed, it has been the untiring, unflinching, and dogged political strategy of Democrats and the left to produce this outcome. It is a political victory and they believe they have achieved it.

E.J. Dionne Jr. articulates, in this article, how Democrats have acheived their well fought propaganda victory. Continue reading Iraq war aftermath
