Hillary Quote

What will a Hillary Presidency be like?

“We just can’t trust the American people to make those types of choices…Government has to make those choices for people”  ~Hillary Clinton

If that doesn’t give you a good idea, this quote may help…

“Many of you are well enough off that … the tax cuts may have helped you … We’re saying that for America to get back on track, we’re probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.   ~Explaining her opposition to President Bush’s tax cut in San Francisco (28 June 2004)

Syrian nukes

Syrian Nuclear Reactor bombed by Israel?

WASHINGTON, Oct. 13 — Israel’s air attack on Syria last month was directed against a site that Israeli and American intelligence analysts judged was a partly constructed nuclear reactor, apparently modeled on one North Korea has used to create its stockpile of nuclear weapons fuel, according to American and foreign officials with access to the intelligence reports.  ~nytimes.com

If Syria had a partly constructed nuclear reactor Iran’s is probably much further along, wouldn’t you think? They’ve been at it far longer and are highly motivated.

End capitalism, save the earth

As I have always pointed out the Global Warming Theology is merely a thinly veiled vehicle for anti-capitalism.

Only the total elimination of industrial emissions will succeed in limiting climate change to a 2°C rise in temperatures, according to computer analysis of climate change. Anything above this target has been identified as “dangerous” by some scientists, and the limit has been adopted by many policymakers. ~environment.newscientist.com

The future of free speech

When the left is in power the first amendment is more of a “living” amendment, not to be taken literally in every instance.

U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar, D-Colo., was among 41 senators who signed a letter condemning radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh, and Salazar said Wednesday he would vote for a resolution censuring Limbaugh for “going beyond whatever rights he had to attack soldiers.”

Limbaugh is under attack from MediaMatters.org for comments he made Friday about “phony soldiers” who oppose the war in Iraq.

Limbaugh was “absolutely dead wrong,” Salazar said. ~gjsentinel.com

Left hands out Gore Prize

The joke for today is that Al Gore has been awarded the Nobel Peace prize. I guess now it’s official. 1) The Nobel Peace Prize is handed out by leftists, 2) it has nothing to do with peace and everything to do with politics.

Sad.

Leftist blogger, Josh Marshall, inadvertantly explains the quasi-religious nature of the belief in global warming as a political crusade.

And not to forget what this award is about even more than Gore. If half of what we think we know about global warming is true, people will look back fifty years from now on the claims that “War on Terror” was the defining challenge of this century and see it as a very sick, sad joke — which rather sums up the Bush presidency. ~talkingpointsmemo.com

The war on global warming is now a pivitol part of the left’s global war on capitalism. As such it is endowed with all the hopes and dreams of leftists like Josh Marshall and Al Gore.

Global warming is without a doubt a political matter, not a moral one as Gore would like to claim.

Why not in Palestine?

It’s clear to me that the One Voice peace movement is plagued by irony (just as all left-leaning groups are).

Canadian Rocker Bryan Adams to Give Free Concerts **in Israel** if Attendees Sign Peace Pledge

Oh, c’mon. Why not in peace/life loving Palestine?

The New York-based One Voice peace movement said the concerts were aimed at bolstering its campaign to collect one million signatures of ordinary Israelis and Palestinians demanding that their leaders sit down and finalize an agreement on a Palestinian state living at peace with Israel.

The head of One Voice’s Ramallah office, Fathi Darwish, said Adams would launch the West Bank event at a football stadium in the ancient town of Jericho, then head to Tel Aviv to perform.

“Our goal is to send a message to the world, that the Palestinian people love life, and hope for life and liberation,” Darwish said.  ~foxonews.com

Defeatist Dems

Harry Reid prematurely declared, “The war is lost,” liberal bloggers, activists, malefactors, and journalists routinely disparage American soldiers and do everything possible to cast a hellish vietnamizational light on the war effort so it’s no surprise that a full one fifth of Democrats want us to lose.

Nearly one out of every five Democrats thinks the world will be better off if America loses the war in Iraq… ~foxnews.com

19% of democrats polled believe that the world will be better off if America LOSES the war in Iraq. Another 20% of Democrats just aren’t sure if it’s ok to win or if the evil empire should lose all it’s wars on principle. The question to ask about this poll is how many Democrats lied and didn’t express their true feelings. Certainly 19% is a low number.
