Forgot?

Not a great argument for the efficiency and primacy of government.

Nuclear-Warhead Upgrade Delayed; Government Labs Forgot How to Make Parts

The Department of Defense and the National Nuclear Security Administration had to wait more than a year to refurbish aging nuclear warheads — partly because they had forgotten how to make a crucial component, a government report states.

Regarding a classified material codenamed “Fogbank,” a Government Accountability Office report released this month states that “NNSA had lost knowledge of how to manufacture the material because it had kept few records of the process when the material was made in the 1980s and almost all staff with expertise on production had retired or left the agency.”  ~foxnews.com

Countdown to Armageddon

This needs to be filed under, “WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!!!”

The Prince of Wales is preparing to tell the world we have “less than 100 months to act” before the damage caused by global warming becomes irreversible. ~news.sky.com

A worldwind tour campaigning for Global Climate change. Hopping on the Royal 747 no doubt jetting from country to country sounding the alarm about how we need to cut corbon emissions or WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!! Yes, that’s the way it’s done. Hypocrisy intact.

Only 100 months to act!

Russians warn Obama

When the Russians warn you that you are in danger of being too socialist then you have a problem. It’s kind of like Ted Kennedy pulling you aside to talk to you about driving drunk.

Excessive intervention in economic activity and blind faith in the state’s omnipotence is another possible mistake.

True, the state’s increased role in times of crisis is a natural reaction to market setbacks. Instead of streamlining market mechanisms, some are tempted to expand state economic intervention to the greatest possible extent.

The concentration of surplus assets in the hands of the state is a negative aspect of anti-crisis measures in virtually every nation.

In the 20th century, the Soviet Union made the state’s role absolute. In the long run, this made the Soviet economy totally uncompetitive. This lesson cost us dearly. I am sure nobody wants to see it repeated.

Nor should we turn a blind eye to the fact that the spirit of free enterprise, including the principle of personal responsibility of businesspeople, investors and shareholders for their decisions, is being eroded in the last few months. There is no reason to believe that we can achieve better results by shifting responsibility onto the state. ~Vladimer Putin

The Rooskies know socialism when they see it.

Liberal hatred

Another commie-lib hatefest article… “Blue State solution”

Gas them. Gas every red state that voted for Bush. Gas them all, and gas them now. And if that sounds a little too 1940s for you, then fine, nuke the fuckers. Nukes have come a long way since 1945, so much so that they’re not even 1940s anymore. It’s just that gassing them sounds so much more appropriate.

…don’t just blame those 59,000,000 fucks, but blame their families, their friends, their dogs and cats, their furniture, and everything they ever touched, smelled, peed on, or otherwise left DNA samples in. They all have to go. Every last one of ‘em.

…Evangelical Christian philosophy is based on a simple hatred of man, hatred of life, hatred of pleasure, and hatred of everything beautiful on this planet, especially animals and forests. Earth to them is a wretched test, a dreadful obstacle on the path to Heaven; only money is good, not for the sake of enjoying money, but because the wealth, and the goods wealth buys, is a sign that they have been Blessed;  ~exile.ru

It just goes downhill from there.

If dems win, the circus begins

If Obama ascends to the presidency and Democrats continue to control congress we can expect the John Conyers circus to go ballistic. Imagine how many subpoenas will be issued for imaginary crimes. Expect anyone who worked in any Bush administration to be a potential target.

If Conyers can take a completely fabricated accusation and attempt to turn it into watergate what won’t he do?

Committee Chairman John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) wants to ask Rove about alleged politicization of the Justice Department, including the firings of U.S. attorneys and any role Rove may have played in the prosecution of former Alabama governor Don Siegelman. Siegelman, a Democrat, was convicted on fraud charges but was released from prison in March pending the results of his appeal.

In recent weeks, Siegelman has intensified his accusations that the Bush administration targeted him for political reasons.

Separately, Conyers disclosed yesterday that the Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility has opened an investigation of possible selective prosecution of Siegelman and at least three others, at the request of the House Judiciary panel. Attorney General Michael B. Mukasey has vigorously rejected allegations of political motivation by department lawyers. ~washingtonpost.com

Let’s see… a corrupt Democrat politician prosecuted for crimes with real substantiated evidence… Karl Rove must have framed him!

Rove brings up some convincing questions for those pursuing this ‘investigation’ of Rove’s supposed involvement inventing a Democrat’s crimes.

Did you inquire when it was that I first asked her to undertake unnamed campaign tasks, as she alleged happened in the years before 2001? And did you try to ascertain whether she was telling the truth about those requests?

Did you inquire when and where her supposed 2001 meeting with me took place at which she was asked to follow Siegelman and photograph him? If so, did you make any effort to see if she could document her claim?

Don’t look, the sky is falling!

Destroying the earth? Mere child’s play. “Mankind ‘shortening the universe’s life’.”

The eschaton is approaching. (Imminently. If not yet immanently.)

It’s clear that the environmentalist meme has now infected the brains of countless poor victims, even cosmologists! I blame the usual suspects. Al Gore, I’m looking at you. Continue reading Don’t look, the sky is falling!
