If only I had a nickel for every time a liberal has mentioned Geobbels in reference to conservatism I’d be a millionaire.
I’ve catalogued this obsession before– I imagine that Goebbels is a deeply influential figure on the left– everyone from Norman Mailer to every left-wing blogger has referenced and practically deified the propaganda minister.
Mark Kleiman seems to believe that any incredibly lame comparison proves that Conservatives use Nazi iconography.
…My point was that if the New Righties can’t make their case without looking and sounding like Nazis, it’s not unfair to compare them to Nazis.
